01 / The editorial studio
Larkwell Editorial develops and refines written material for authors, organizations, and institutions. Our work centers on manuscripts, source materials, and writing intended for print publication and formal use.
We begin with what the text needs to do: the audience, the purpose, and the level of editorial intervention. That brief guides the structure, the language, and the voice of the finished work.
Established on October 1, 2026, the company is based in Little Rock, Arkansas.

03 / How the work moves
From source material to final text
The editorial level, deliverables, and revision rounds follow the written brief. Select a stage to see what it involves.
We establish the audience, intended use, editorial level, source material, and deliverables. You receive a written scope and fee to review before any work or advance payment.
OUTPUT / Agreed brief, fee, and delivery plan.
The agreed service may involve developing an outline, reshaping a narrative, refining language, checking consistency, or preparing original text from your materials. Each task follows the approved brief.
OUTPUT / A working manuscript, draft, or editorial report.
You review the identified draft and return a consolidated set of comments. We work through the revision rounds included in the proposal and agree separately on any change of scope.
OUTPUT / A revised text and resolved editorial questions.
The agreed final version is delivered for your approval and intended use. Printing, publication, specialist verification, and distribution are included only if expressly commissioned. The remaining 60% is due after delivery.
OUTPUT / The agreed text and any accompanying editorial notes.
04 / The editorial standard
Care, expressed through the work
Clear boundaries matter as much as clear sentences. These principles guide the brief and the level of editorial intervention.
Editorial changes serve the purpose of the work. We consider tone, audience, and the level of intervention agreed with you.
Facts, sources, and specialist claims need appropriate support. We distinguish language editing from fact checking, research, and professional clearance.
Unpublished manuscripts and non-public project materials are handled for the agreed purpose. Any special access restrictions or NDA are set before transfer.
Academic editing respects the rules of the institution or publisher. We do not replace assessed intellectual work or fabricate sources, findings, or research.
05 / Practical questions
The details behind the estimate, the scope, and the next step.
The service cart provides a starting estimate using the published rates and your entered volume. We confirm the manuscript, editorial level, research needs, revision rounds, and final fee in a written proposal before an engagement begins. Applicable taxes, if any, are identified there.
The minimum project charge is $90. When two or more different service types are commissioned together, a 10% discount applies to their combined editorial fees, subject to that minimum. An advance of 40% is due after agreement; the remaining 60% is due after delivery. No payment is taken through this website form.
For these rates, a character includes a letter, number, punctuation mark, or space. We agree on the authoritative text and count before confirming a fee. Above 100,000 characters, the published rates become a guide for an individually agreed fixed quote.
The services focus on developing and refining written material for print publication and formal use. Printing, design, distribution, literary representation, submission management, and guaranteed acceptance are not included unless separately agreed in writing.
We edit academic work within the permitted assistance rules of the relevant institution or publisher. Commercial memoirs, professional guides, and institutional chronicles can be ghostwritten under an agreed brief and rights arrangement. These are distinct from assessed academic work.
The form validates the required information and prepares a project summary on your device. It shows an on-page confirmation and lets you copy the summary. It does not send an email, create a paid order, or charge a payment method. You can use the listed contact details to arrange the next step.
